Your job-search data never leaves your browser

Saved jobs, notes, interview rounds, reminders and your application profile are stored by the extension in your own browser, using Chrome's local storage. There is no account and no server-side copy. We cannot see this content.

We cannot see this data. If you uninstall the extension it is gone, which is why the extension offers an export you control.

Feedback you choose to send

The extension has a feedback form. It sends nothing unless you fill it in and press send.

• the category you picked (Idea, Something confusing, Bug, Other);
• the message you wrote;
• your email address, only if you chose to supply one;
• the extension version and the interface language you are using.

The version and language are there so that a report about a problem can be reproduced. Nothing about your browser, your device, the pages you visit, or your saved jobs is included.

The contact form on this site

The contact form sends your email address, your message, and — if you fill them in — your name and a subject line. Your email address is required here because the form exists so we can reply.

What we do with it

• reply to you where a reply is wanted;
• understand problems with the product;
• decide what to improve.

Submissions are delivered to a single support inbox. They are not written to a database, not added to a mailing list, and not added to a CRM. Supplying an email address on either form does not subscribe you to anything; any marketing consent would be asked for separately and explicitly.

If you give us an email address it will exist in the message we receive, and in the reply thread if we correspond. That is the whole of it.

Anonymous usage statistics

To understand whether features are used, the extension can send anonymous product events — “a job was saved”, “autofill completed” — under a random installation identifier created by the extension itself. The identifier is not derived from you or your data, is never linked to your email or to anything you write to us, and is deleted when the extension is uninstalled.

• an event contains: the event name, extension version, interface language, theme, days since installation, and for a few events a predefined category (a job status, a platform type, a feedback category);
• an event never contains: job titles, companies, descriptions, URLs, names, email addresses, CV or profile content, answers, salaries, notes, or any free text;
• the choice is offered during setup, and Settings → Anonymous usage analytics turns it off at any time — off means nothing is sent.

Events are processed by PostHog (posthog.com) on their EU cloud, acting as a processor on our behalf; the project is configured to discard client IP data. Strictly speaking a random installation identifier is pseudonymous rather than anonymous — which is exactly why it has a switch.

Who processes it

Form submissions are delivered by Resend (resend.com), an email delivery provider acting as a processor on our behalf. Anonymous usage events are processed by PostHog (posthog.com, EU cloud). This website is hosted by Vercel. None of them receives your job-search content, because that content never leaves your browser.

Deletion

You can ask us to delete a message you sent and any correspondence that followed it. Write to us through the contact form, or reply to the thread, and say so. Because we do not build a profile from these messages, deleting the correspondence is the whole deletion.

Data held inside the extension is yours alone: clear it from the extension's settings, or uninstall the extension.

Permissions the extension asks for

The extension asks for access to a job site only when you tell it to act on that site, and only for that site. It asks for access to itsahead.app only at the moment you send feedback. It never asks for access to your browsing history.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
